  our kingdom hall was started in 1973 with only 3 families totaling 13 people.it grew to 85 members in the early 90's and that's because many were related to these 3 families.with older members dying,the young leaving when they reach 18, 5 divorces and many disfellowshipped,the congregation is down to 26 members.talk about low morale.

  where is jehovah's blessing now?

  page 18 is the pathetic craptower article, telling women (who have apparently gotten above themselves) that they must be "obedient" to their husbands.

  the entire article is nauseating, and obviously written by bitter old men who have major issues with the opposite sex.

  Thank you for always giving these old men a kick in the balls with all your great posts!!!

  It was well known at our Kingdumb Hall that a certain brother was abusing his wife. All the elders knew but never said anything to him.He wouldn't let his wife : call anyone on the phone,couldn't turn on the air-conditioner,use too much hot water,shop at any stores without his permission,drive the car until he got home from work,and would have to give details of where she was and what she did all day.

  According to the WTS,if she ever left this jerk,she couldn't ever get remarried.It would be a disfellowshipping offense.But if some brother had sex for 2 minutes with someone other than his wife,the wife would be able to get remarried.That takes the cake!!!!

  Meetings at our Kingdom Halls to be warm and inviting but not…social club.

  Actually that is the main reason JWs come, to find social contacts, to talk to their few friends, find a mate, find friends for their children

  .

  If you enter any congregation,all you will find are cliques.Elders with elders,pioneers with pioneers and kids with kids.The young are all looking for a mate.My mom never misses any meetings because her sister and family attend the same congregation.That is her only chance to see anyone since she never goes out.I've always said that the meetings are no different than a bowling league,card game or sports bar.After a while,the only reason anyone attends is that that's what they have in common.

  Blondie: Thanks for all your work.As this study shows, the meetings are used just to inforce rules and regulations from the WT SOCIETY.

  Why aren't the 144,000 put to a greater use?

  we've been told that the 144,000 are providing the ''spiritual food'' and that there are a little over 8,000 of them on earth today.

  every prayer that is ever given,they are thanked for providing the "spiritual food".. if that is the case ,why does the food(yum,yum) only come from new york?

  why is the writing look like its written by sixth graders?

Why didn't I ever see one at my kingdom hall? Why aren't they taking the lead in the ministry work? If some of them are female,why can't they be ministerial servants,elders,and be in on judicial meetings?

  In order to have something to "jaw" about to fill all of the hours that are spent at 5 meetings and assemblies year after year, they have to add to the scriptures w/all of these man made ideas. They shove it down your throat as what God wants in order to be a faithful servant of his. They are so good at taking a principle from scripture and stretching it to fit what they want from you. More control - in God's name.

  That's why I call myself "Rules and Regulations".That's what drove me away.Not only do they stretch the sciptures to fit whatever suites them, they add on all these manmade rules.They are the modern day Pharisees.

  I always felt bad for the Elders who were in control of watching the wedding receptions and making sure all the rules were followed.Making sure no one was drinking in excess and making sure everyone was dancing with their mates and only theie mate.

  i'm 42. tired in my career of 17 yrs.

  taking anti-depressants because i can't deal with my jobs pressures.

  my give a damn is busted but i have loved ones who depend on me.

  I know what you are going thru.I'm 45 and have owned my own business for 20 years and it's time to do something different.When I wake up each morning,I force myself to go to work and have to put up with difficult customers.Having 1 boss is hard enough.Try having 80 customers.They try to tell you how to do your job.They send in payments 3 months after you completed the work.They call to ask when I'm getting to their job.....Why aren't you here?.....If you don't get to my job, I will get someone else?.......I can get someone to do the job cheaper......

  These are some questions you need to ask yourself:

  Are you ready for competition who cut their prices so low you can't compete?

  Do I have enough money to sustain me if the business does not do well?

  What happens when my employees quit or do not show up for work?

  Do I need to be there at every moment or can I trust them to do their work without supervision?

  Do I know how to save enough money to pay quarterly taxes?

  Don't forget you get no paid vacations when you are self employed.You have to contribute all of you Social Security Taxes.The list goes on and on.

  I want to do something else but cannot think of another business right now.I don't want to work for someone else since I've been self employed for 20 years.Good luck in what you try to pursue.There are others just like you out there.

  now that i look back,all witnesses are used to do the societies dirty work and peddle watchtower literature .the ministry school is used as a tool to go out and sell books.new members must go out and preach or else they cannot get baptized.young children are called ''publishers'' even if they don't know anything about the bible.the elderly who cannot walk must do phone witnessing or else they will be on the irregular preaching list.

  ten hours a month averages are stressed so you feel like your not doing enough.

  "pioneer for the summer" talks are another means to push everyone that is out of school or has summer vacation.sell all the old stock of books{197 page books} that are sitting in the warehouse.pass out pamplets and the list goes on.if you don't ,the new recruits will!

  Why is the Watchtower Society so cruel to teens?

  my mom just informed me that a 17 year old has been disfellowshipped at her hall.at least 7 others have been kicked out within the last 5 years.the publisher count is only 56 .why do they let the teens get baptized so young?

  i was 14 and only got baptized because of pressure and the end was coming.if you weren't baptized you would be destroyed.. why don't they wait until everyone is at leat 21?

  all these teens haven't come back and you won't ever see them unless they return.i haven't seen my cousin in over 2 years.no one went to his wedding,isn't invited to any family functions and is to be avoided at all costs.. the watchtower society should be ashamed that they act that way and the parents let them get away with it..

  My 3 favorite forum members are Blondie,Garybus and yourself. You are right that they need control over everyone.You cannot have any dissent.Put fear into all and you can get anything you want.
